Lenovo’s New Gaming Tablet is Something that We’ve Been Yearning For

If you’ve been keeping up with our coverage on the 2024 iPad Mini, then you might have noticed some observations that we’ve made regarding the lack of high-end compact Android tablets. It seems that Lenovo wants to fill in this gap with its latest launch, the Legion Y700 Ultra-Control Edition tablet.

In addition to its rather long name, the Y700 UCE packs some pretty impressive hardware that’s not usually found on small Android tablets, as most brands tend to stick to larger devices for their premium offerings. With that said, the new tablet comes with an 8.8-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate and a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution, with 343 PPI.

As for what’s inside, the tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is still an impressive chipset in this day and age. It’s also available in different memory and storage configurations starting with 12GB + 256GB, all the way up to 16GB + 512GB. There’s a fairly large 6,550 mAh battery inside as well, and a dual-camera setup on the rear panel.

At the moment, there’s no word yet on whether or not the Y700 Ultra-Control will make its way outside of Chinese markets. It’s priced starting at around $470 (when converted).
