Some might say that the launch of the Pixel tablet was a bittersweet moment – one one hand it finally marked the return of Google to the tablet market, although the device’s somewhat modest specs and relatively high price tag were a point of contention for some buyers.
With that being said, it looks like the tablet is now available to order from the Google Store (and participating retailers) for a more affordable price of $399 – it should be noted though that the Pixel Tablet won’t come bundled with the dock this time. The device originally launched at around 500 bucks and came bundled with a magnetic speaker dock, and was reportedly priced a bit higher in some regions.
In terms of specs, the Pixel Tablet features an 11-inch LCD display with a 2560×1600 pixel resolution, 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage, and a battery capable of up to 12 hours of video streaming. The tablet also comes with 8MP cameras on both the front and rear. The tablet’s relaunch went live along the announcement of the Pixel 8a, which is priced at $499.
